She does not speak. But every night you worked late, she waited at the door.
Find her sign first
In Chinese zodiac tradition each sign has a stone and a colour. Your pet has a sign too — based on the year they were born, the same twelve-year cycle. If they were adopted and you do not know the year, most people use the year they came home. There is no rule against that, and it is usually the year that matters to both of you anyway.
Then match the colour to yours
This is the part that makes it work. Not the stone on its own — the match. Her charm in the same colour as your bracelet means the two objects read as a set when they are in the same room, and they are in the same room constantly.
Not because the stone does anything
Because you want her to know — you are guarding her too. That is the entire idea, and we would rather say it plainly than dress it up.
A note on the hardware
The pet charm uses a breakaway safety clasp, and the zodiac tag is light enough not to pull. Nothing on the collar should be something that can catch on a fence post.
